Beele Engineering’s calculation software, designed to support users when calculating the materials requirements for sealed cable or pipe penetrations, now includes even more sealing solutions. The current version now calculates the RISE or RISWAT insert sleeves, the RISE, RISWAT or NOFIRNO filler sleeves, ACTIFOAM spare filling sheets, the RISE or RISE/ULTRA crushers and the DRIFIL, FIWA or NOFIRNO sealant.

After entering the dimensions of the conduit opening and the amount and outer diameters of the ducted cables or pipes, the software calculates the amount of material. It is easy to switch between the several systems and also between A-class, H-class, EMC and watertight penetrations. Based on the entered data, a drawing appears on the computer screen showing also the remaining free space in the conduit opening. Furthermore, the filling rate of the cable penetrations is shown. Warnings appear for deviations of the certified configurations and for overfilling the transits or exceeding filling rates.

All calculated transits for a created project can be stored in a database. Order and calculation forms can be shown on screen for project totals and single transits. The material lists can be printed and/or exported to MS Word. The list displays the selected system, cable (or pipe) specifications, and the sealing material requirements. All transits in a project can be selected to create a similar list for all materials for the whole project.

The user-friendly software runs in Windows and automatically checks for updates at regular intervals, thus ensuring that the user has the latest version available at all times.

Copies of the free material calculation software can be downloaded from the website www.beele.com.

Beele Engineering is market leader in the field of sealing solutions for the fire safe and gas and watertight sealing of pipe and cable penetrations. This position is based on the company’s ongoing R&D and innovation, advanced manufacturing technology and first class service.

The soaring cost of maintenance is prompting ship owners to adopt the RISE Extender Frame that can be retrofitted onto cable and pipe transits on ships and offshore installations. The extender frames were designed for the purpose of upgrading existing conventional conduit systems to the RISE system. The frames not only make it easier to remove or add cables and thus reduce maintenance costs, but also instantly double the usable space inside any block system transit frame.

The RISE Extender Frame can be used for all A0 – A60 multi-cable transits. Application of the extension frame yields not only all the convenience of the RISE system but it also make extra insulation at the front of the penetration and/or in between the cables unnecessary.

In view of its simplicity and the resultant time savings achieved during installation, more and more installers in the shipbuilding industry are changing over to the RISE system for the firesafe and gas and smoke tight sealing of cable conduits. For them the extender frame allows them to switch over to RISE in the most simple way. The installation of the frames can be performed without the need to remove any of the existing cables.

The RISE Extender Frame consists of two metal plate sections, the flanges of which are inserted into the existing conduit. The length of the flanges corresponds to the length of conventional conduit frames. The two sections are then joined together into a single unit by means of nuts and bolts. For optimized stability the extension frame can be spot-welded to the existing conduit. Once the conduit has been upgraded, the fire safe sealing system RISE can be installed.

North Liberty, Iowa – 24 June 2009 – Collective Data Inc., a leading provider of fleet operations management software, announced today the release of collectiveFleet, a product that combines their fleet management software with the mobility of the multifunctional Motion Tablet PC that includes a digital camera, barcode scanner, and optional mobile broadband.

“Clients were looking for more mobility options,” said Rob Kinney, Vice President of Sales and New Product Development for Collective Data. “Data is everywhere and they need to capture it. Clients and potential customers are excited to have such an easy yet reliable way to collect data out in the field.”

Jason Wonase, President and CEO of Collective Data, commented on the company’s new release. “We are always researching and developing new ways to make the jobs easier for people managing a fleet,” he said. “Introducing the Motion Tablet PC will continue that trend.”

This all-inclusive package can prove to be particularly beneficial for fleet inventory management. “Parts managers can roam the parts room with ease, or receive parts right on the spot,” said Sean Taylor, Director of Sales for Collective Data. “Lugging around a laptop with a scanner, camera, and dangling cords on the keyboard or cart are now a thing of the past.”

The collectiveFleet-Te package can add productivity to any currently implemented Collective Data system, or it can act as the all-in-one option for smaller fleets. “Now you do not need to purchase a server, hire an IT guy, or purchase a new computer,” said Taylor. “It’s a simple, turn-key solution that gives users a multifunctional device, software, and the tools they need to get the information they need to make decisions that can positively affect their bottom line.”

“Motion strives to provide solutions to our clients, and the best way is to partner with software providers, like Collective Data, who bring their deep industry knowledge in to software-optimized applications that further enhance mobile initiatives,” said Mike Stinson, VP Marketing, Motion Computing. “We are excited to help Collective Data offer real-time relevant data to customers at the place they need it most, the point of service.”
