RISE Extender Frame doubles ducting capacity while reducing maintenance costs of transit frames

Beele Extender FrameThe soaring cost of maintenance is prompting ship owners to adopt the RISE Extender Frame that can be retrofitted onto cable and pipe transits on ships and offshore installations. The extender frames were designed for the purpose of upgrading existing conventional conduit systems to the RISE system. The frames not only make it easier to remove or add cables and thus reduce maintenance costs, but also instantly double the usable space inside any block system transit frame.

The RISE Extender Frame can be used for all A0 – A60 multi-cable transits. Application of the extension frame yields not only all the convenience of the RISE system but it also make extra insulation at the front of the penetration and/or in between the cables unnecessary.

In view of its simplicity and the resultant time savings achieved during installation, more and more installers in the shipbuilding industry are changing over to the RISE system for the firesafe and gas and smoke tight sealing of cable conduits. For them the extender frame allows them to switch over to RISE in the most simple way. The installation of the frames can be performed without the need to remove any of the existing cables.

The RISE Extender Frame consists of two metal plate sections, the flanges of which are inserted into the existing conduit. The length of the flanges corresponds to the length of conventional conduit frames. The two sections are then joined together into a single unit by means of nuts and bolts. For optimized stability the extension frame can be spot-welded to the existing conduit. Once the conduit has been upgraded, the fire safe sealing system RISE can be installed.
